Located at the head office and factory of PT Indofarma Tbk, West Cikarang on Thursday (22/09/2022) the Company’s Management received a Working Visit from Commission III of the Bekasi Regency DPRD. This visit was attended by the Chairman of Commission III DPRD Bekasi Regency, Mr. Helmi S.E. along with other members of the Board. Representing the Company was attended by the Director of Finance, Risk Management & HR, Mr. Ariesta Krisnawan along with several Managers related to the themes being discussed.

On this occasion, the Management conveyed regarding the flow of good B3 and Non-B3 waste management in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations. The Company has carried out several activities related to environmental management, including environmental implementation tests per semester, collaboration with the Sanitation Department for domestic waste, waste water management to comply with quality standards, the K3 Management System certification process and optimization of WWTPs.

Meanwhile, the documents already owned by the Company are Approval of Commitment to Fulfillment of Commercial/Operational Permits for Disposal of Wastewater in 2020 and Recommendations on Results of Assessment of Technical Requirements for Licensing of Wastewater Disposal in 2020. Meanwhile, B3 Waste management permits for hazardous waste storage activities have been obtained in 2017.

In relation to wastewater testing services, Perum Jasa Tirta II is carried out which has received KAN Accreditation No LP-174-IDN. Not only that, for the management of domestic waste, the Company cooperates with the Environmental Agency of the Bekasi Regency Government.

In addition to the activities that are routinely carried out, the Company also conducts periodic Environmental Data Reporting with two methods, namely online through the SIMPEL, SIRAJA, PPA applications and offline to the district and provincial Environmental Offices on a quarterly and semester basis.

The Company’s management is committed to continuing to carry out environmental management in the company optimally and in accordance with applicable regulations. This is done because of the Company’s awareness of environmental sustainability, especially where Indofarma’s head office and factories operate.
